Every once in a while I get the urge to eat chocolate and watch chick flicks.
Okay...every couple of weeks might be more realistic. I try not to indulge too often and to be honest, it had been at least a year since I'd had the pleasure of watching Elizabeth win over Mr Darcy with her biting wit and sometimes sarcastic remarks.

Ah, love at its best eh?
So, it didn't take very long for a small gathering to turn into a full blown girls night out. I mean, chocolate fondue & the best love story of all time...Need I say more?
So what's a party without a few decorations?
I made a few simple inexpensive items like: Tissue pom poms, a felt garland and shimmering paper hearts.
The chandelier is a find from the Eddie Bauer Outlet Salvage I used to go to regularly when I lived in Columbus, Ohio. Ryan has teased me relentlessly for years about the original purchase(He thinks it's weird) and for packing and moving it whenever we move. Every time we moved he tried to convince me I needed to get rid of it. I just...can't. I love it for some reason and I love how it looks with hearts of many sizes dangling from its branches.
I made little flags to adorn the skewers we used to dip and eat the fondue with. They said things like, Eat me and Yummy and Love.
The Martinelli's was the prize I gave out for answering the most questions right on theLOVEquiz. A short little quiz about my favorite love stories/movies/famous couples. My sister and I had a great time coming up with all our favorite lines and facts from our favorite love stories. So I definitely need to credit her for all her help in its creation--Thank you Rachel!
Are you ready to take it yourself?
OK. Here you go:

I made the fondue using THIS recipe from Joyofbaking and it turned out really well. Everyone brought something to dip and share so we had quite the selection to choose from.
Bananas, strawberries, gummy bears, caramels, cream cheese bites(cream cheese rolled into balls and rolled in graham crackers) Homemade chocolate chip cookies, vanilla wafers, marshmallows, pretzels, cake doughnuts...that's all I can remember.
My favorites were the plain vanilla cake doughnuts and the cream cheese balls. So good.
Of course, I wish I would have taken more photos of the actual event, but I was having fun and completely forgot.
Yay, for girls night!
